BLOOM plus Jennifer Reid

Fusing music, fashion and dance, BLOOM celebrates the history of Oldham’s connection to Japan, as part of Japan Week 2025.
Informed by the past but inspired by the future, creative producers From The Other have brought together composer AFRODEUTSCHE, dance collective Company Chameleon, queer-led fashion brand Belladonis, and a trio from the world-renowned Hallé for this special performance.
Singer, researcher and provocateur, Jennifer Reid will perform rousing Industrial Revolution street songs before the performance, including dialect songs about Oldham spinners and their factory owners, the Platt Brothers. Plus introduction from Rebecca Hill, Senior Curator at Gallery Oldham.
Doors at 7pm, performance starts at 7:30pm.
