Library Charges
Overdue books
You can renew your items up to seven times via the online catalogue or you can call or email the library via 0161 770 8000 or libraries@oldham.gov.uk and it can be done for you.
Since August 2019, books borrowed from Oldham’s Library service will no longer accrue overdue fines for late returns. Please remember to bring your items back to the library so that other customers can enjoy them.
Lost or damaged books
You will be asked to pay all or part of the replacement cost of any books or items that are lost.
Please check all books before you borrow them and point out any damage to the staff at the counter.
If a book or other item is damaged while you have them on loan please tell a member of staff.

Overdue Charges
- Late return charge £1 per week to a maximum of £18 per item
Library Card Replacement
Report lost cards to your nearest library as soon as possible so it can be cancelled.
You are responsible for any books borrowed until your card has been cancelled.

- Children, teenagers and over 60’s: £1.10

- Children’s Homework Printing (5 Black and White sheets and 1 Colour): Free of Charge
Postage stamps
Standard price Royal Mail Stamps are sold in many branches at the current 1st and 2nd class rate.
