Life Drawing With HOP
Thursday 8th October, 6pm, £16, Creator Space, Gallery Oldham. (Every 2nd Thursday of the month)
Create & connect at our relaxed arty socials! We celebrate the human form in all its glory, whether you’re an experienced artist or trying it for the first time. It’s a laid-back, creative escape for your mind and soul.
Can’t draw? No worries! There are no rules here, stick figures, abstract shapes, or perfectly proportioned sketches, everything’s welcome.
What’s Included?
- Art Materials: Drawing boards, pencils, charcoal, and paper are provided, but feel free to bring your preferred materials.
- Professional Nude Model: The model will pose in timed sessions ranging from 1 to 15 minutes.
- Guidance & Freestyle Time: You’ll receive creative drawing prompts for the first few poses. After the warm-up, you’ll have time to explore your own artistic flair.
- Jazzy Jazz Playlist: A chilled-out playlist, perfect for unwinding after work.
- Interlude Snacks: Usually consisting of cheese, fresh bread, fruit ect. Varies sessions to session.

GO! Artists – Oldham Art Fair 2026
Saturday, October 17 10am – 4pm, £1 per person, Gallery Oldham
Join us for GO! Artists – Oldham Art Fair, a celebration of the fantastic creative talent in and around Oldham. Taking place at Gallery Oldham on Saturday 17th October, the fair brings together 19 local artists and makers for a day of art, creativity and community.
Discover a wide range of original artwork and handmade pieces, including paintings, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, sculpture and illustration. Meet the artists, find out more about their work and browse pieces available to buy directly from the people who create them.
There will also be an art tombola, with artwork and other prizes donated by our exhibiting artists and makers. Every tombola ticket helps raise funds for the Friends of Gallery Oldham and supports our work with Gallery Oldham, helping with the care and upkeep of its collection and the acquisition of new artwork.
GO! Artists is taking place during Oldham’s Town of Culture year, making it a great opportunity to celebrate the creativity and cultural talent right here in our local community. Whether you’re an art lover, looking for something unique for your home, searching for a special gift, or simply want to discover some brilliant local artists, there’s something for everyone.

Hand Quilting and Applique
Saturday 20February, 11am-2pm, £40
Make a mini quilt with hand embroidery and appliqué. This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced stitchers alike. In this session we will be embroidering and layering strips of applique fabric, and will be joining them together on a linen backing panel in a free and creative way to form a mini quilt that can have many purposes. There will be no rules or striving for perfection, we will be embracing the frayed edge.
