John Holland’s painting ‘Gerrard Wood, Stakehill, Reservoirs and Middleton in the Distance From the Foot of Tandle Hill’ was purchased at auction in 2023 by seven local historians and is now on display in Royton Library.
Join historian Diana Monahan at 10am for a talk about the life of Holland.
Leon MacLeod, author of ‘The History of Thornham’ will then lead a discussion at11am about what can be seen in the painting.
