About the Author
David Nolan is a journalist, TV producer and author. He uses his past experiences as a crime reporter and TV producer to write crime fiction known as ‘Manc Noir’. He’s the author of Black Moss, The Mermaid’s Pool, and The Ballad of Hanging Lees.
His TV shows include Crimes That Shook Britain, Police, Wythenshawe Law, Little Boy Lost and Crimefighters Alpha 3.
His radio and television documentaries about the trial of Alan Morris – the biggest historic abuse case ever mounted by Greater Manchester Police – won him a Royal Television Society Award, a New York Festival Award, and a Rose D’Or.
He also trains BBC journalists around the world in writing and storytelling techniques.
