Bingo for the Brain – Mental Health Awareness Week/Dementia Action Week

Come join us for a fun-filled game of Bingo to exercise your brain and meet others!

Join us for a fun-filled event during Mental Health Awareness Week/Dementia Action Week at Lees Library Community Hub. Enjoy a game of bingo while connecting with others in the community. It’s a great way to exercise your brain and have a good time.

Did you know that bingo has lots of health benefits?

-It stimulates your mind – a round of Bingo is a great way to stretch those mental muscles!

-it’s great for reinforcing skills such as concentration and short term memory

-Bingo is a fun-filled activity where players have the opportunity to laugh and enjoy each-other’s company. Laughter also relieves stress, and can even boost the immune system.

-a social activity like bingo can also help us connect with others and feel less lonely which improves mental health and wellbeing and puts you at lower risk of loneliness and depression.

So why not join us for this informal, relaxed activity run by the friendly team at Oldham Libraries? All are welcome.

Refreshments will be provided.

Please note that we will be using large print bingo cards at this session to aid those with low vision or vision impairments. If you are attending and you feel you may need some assistance during the session please email farrah.ashraf@oldham.gov.uk
