Collab Lab – Upcycling with artist Amelie Matignon (two week course)

Upcycling with artist Amelie Matignon, Amelie is a textile artist originally from France who now lives in Manchester. In these sessions you will design, decorate and upcycle a piece of your old clothing to turn it into a fabulous new piece for your wardrobe. Including stitiching, painting, cutting and ripping, you’ll learn and be able to explore a range of upcycling techniques with Amelie.
Please be aware this is a TWO WEEK COURSE, please only sign up if you’re able to attend both:

T his summer is all about collaboration in Gallery Oldham’s and Oldham Libraries summer school! Work with a different artist to explore a variety of techniques and materials and create your own artworks to take home. There’s no experience needed and all of the materials will be provided.
T hese sessions are specially designed for 10 – 16 year olds, adults are encouraged to leave their young person in this safe and welcoming space but we understand that may cause anxiety for some. If you prefer to stay for part or all of the session that’s fine just let us know on th day.
W e welcome young people from all walks of life, whether they have been creative before or not, these sessions have been designed so anyone is able to take part. If you have any questions or concerns prior to signing up please feel free to get in touch:
