Come along for a free arts session with Peshkar. Join artist Anna to explore and craft stories from the people who make Oldham a special place to live.
Over the course of the Young Digitals Festival Anna will be researching family heritages and histories, whether they be image or text, word of mouth or archived, and spinning them into tactile books that will be displayed as part of the library. These books will be informed by the participants and their histories and connections to the local geography and their emotions towards it, there will also be boxes in the library where people can leave their own thoughts, pictures and memories.
Drop-in workshops to create the visual workshops will be accessible by people of all ages and abilities, intended to be more play than art.
These sessions are part of Peshkar’s Young Digitals Festival at Oldham Library on Saturday 22nd March.
