Nature Sketching Through the Seasons – Walk Along Failsworth

Nature Sketching Through the Seasons – Walk Along Failsworth

This event offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature.

There are several sketching sessions spaced throughout the changing seasons. You can come to one or all of them, the sessions stand alone, but if you do come to all you’ll build a sketchbook of the local landscape throughout the year.

No artistic skill is required, there’s no right or wrong way to do this, and no pressure to share what you create with anyone. You’re welcome to trace around leaves, take rubbings of textures, or draw in whatever style you prefer. The idea is to explore visually by slowing down and fully tuning in to what we can see around us, noticing fine details as well as the subtle shifts as the year progresses.

The intention is to enhance our attunement through our visual sense, and in doing so coming into deeper presence within the landscape.

All sketching materials are provided.

Our meeting point is the foyer at Failsworth Library.
