Read To The Beat

📚 Read to the Beat – Summer Reading Challenge 2026
Presented by The Reading Agency & Oldham Libraries
🎉 The Countdown Is On!
The countdown is on! The Summer Reading Challenge is nearly here — get ready to read, create, explore, and celebrate with Oldham Libraries. This year, children set their own reading goal over the summer and collect stickers as they go. Anyone who completes the challenge will receive a special medal and certificate to celebrate their achievement.
Children can sign up anytime from Saturday 11 July — just head to any library and ask about the Summer Reading Challenge. We’ve got a whole summer packed with fun events and activities to get involved in. The challenge ends on Saturday 5 September.
