An illustrated talk about the lives of the Oldhamers who fought in the Spanish Civil War.
From 1936-1938 a dozen men from Oldham volunteered to fight with the International Brigade against fascism and for the Spanish Republic in the Spanish Civil War. What were their connections to the town of Oldham and what were their backgrounds and experiences? Join Graham Briggs and Rob Hargreaves for this fascinating illustrated talk.
The framed memorial that commemorates the six Oldham men who were killed during the fighting will be on display before and after the talk.
