Come for the snipe, stay for the archives
Oldham Archives welcomed the @northernrootsoldham Heritage Champions today, to install the archives display they`ve curated with our Archivist.
Documents from the Oldham Archives collections and a taxidermy snipe from Gallery Oldham`s natural history collection are given extra depth and context by the digital exhibits on our digital kiosk. It tells the story of the Northern Roots site from its industrial past to its ecological present.
Oldham Archives is closed for the Bank Holiday on Friday and Monday, but call in from 10am-1pm on Saturday to be the first to see the display. It`s on until 30 June.
